Terms of Service
Last updated: July 22, 2026
Article 1. Scope
These Terms set out the conditions for using FootyBox (the "Service"). Users may use the Service only after agreeing to these Terms.
Article 2. Accounts
- Users must register accurate information and manage their accounts at their own responsibility.
- Users may not transfer or lend their accounts to third parties.
- If unauthorized use is identified, accounts may be suspended without prior notice.
Article 3. Posted Content
- Copyright in experience notes, photos, comments, and other content posted by users ("Posted Content") belongs to the user.
- Users represent that they have all rights necessary to post and license Posted Content and that it does not infringe any third party's copyright, trademark, publicity, privacy, or other rights.
- Users grant the operator a royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use Posted Content, including reproduction, transmission, display, translation, and necessary modification, only as needed to provide, display, distribute, operate, improve, and describe the Service. The license ends when the user deletes the Posted Content, except to the reasonable extent required for backups, legal compliance, or Service promotions already produced.
- Posts that infringe others' rights, contain false or misleading information, or violate public order and morals are prohibited.
- The operator may remove posts that violate these Terms without prior notice.
Article 4. Prohibited Acts
- Acts that violate laws or public order and morals
- Harassment, defamation, or abuse toward other users
- Acts that interfere with operation of the Service
- Technical attacks such as scraping or unauthorized access
- Commercial advertising or solicitation, except where permitted by the operator
- Conduct that falsely suggests an affiliation, endorsement, or sponsorship by a third party
- Use of third-party names, logos, emblems, or other marks beyond the scope permitted by law or authorized by the rights holder
Article 5. Intellectual Property in the Service
Rights in the text, design, features, software, FootyBox name and logo, and other content that make up the Service belong to the operator or their respective lawful owners. No use beyond the scope expressly permitted to users is authorized.
Article 6. Third-Party Names and Logos
- Rights in the names, logos, emblems, and other marks of clubs, national teams, leagues, competitions, governing bodies, venues, companies, products, or services displayed in the Service belong to their respective rights holders.
- These marks are displayed for descriptive and identification purposes so users can identify, search, and organize matches, teams, competitions, venues, and attendance records. Their display does not claim ownership by the operator.
- FootyBox is an unofficial, independent service. Unless expressly stated otherwise, it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or otherwise officially connected with FIFA, any football association, league, competition organizer, club, or other organization displayed in the Service.
- This Article does not create a right to use third-party intellectual property or make an otherwise infringing use lawful. The operator may modify, replace, or remove a display when required by law or a rights holder's applicable guidelines.
Article 7. Rights-Infringement Notices
A rights holder or authorized representative who believes that a display or Posted Content on the Service infringes their rights may contact us with the information below. We will review the notice and, where appropriate, take reasonable measures such as temporarily restricting access to, correcting, replacing, or removing the material.
- The notifier's name, contact details, and relationship to the rights holder
- Information identifying the copyrighted work, trademark, or other right, and material reasonably demonstrating ownership or authority
- The URL, screen, or a specific description of the material at issue
- The requested action and the reason the use is believed to be infringing
- A statement that the notice is accurate and submitted in good faith by the rights holder or an authorized representative
Article 8. Disclaimer
- The Service is provided as is, without guarantees of completeness, accuracy, or availability.
- Match schedules, stadium information, and similar content on the Service are reference information. Please confirm the latest accurate information on official sites.
- The operator is not responsible for disputes between users.
- To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for damages arising from use of the Service. Where the agreement for use of the Service is a consumer contract and the operator is liable for ordinary negligence, liability is limited to direct and ordinary damages actually incurred by the user. This limitation does not apply to intentional misconduct or gross negligence by the operator.
Article 9. Changes or Termination of the Service
The operator may change or terminate the Service with prior notice. The Service is provided as a beta and specifications may change without notice.
Article 10. Changes to the Terms
The operator may revise these Terms where the change is in users' general interests, or where it is reasonable in light of the purpose of the agreement, the need for and appropriateness of the change, and other circumstances. Material changes and their effective date will be announced in advance through the Service or another appropriate method.
Article 11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Japanese law. If a dispute arises, the Tokyo District Court will be the exclusive court of first instance.
